Denver, or the “Mile-High City,” has a rich history that provides a unique backdrop for entertainment, art, culture, sports, spas, shopping and rodeos. The district hosts free “First Friday” events from 5pm–9pm with the participation of up to 50 galleries, studios and cultural centers. The Art District on Santa Fe is another art center, featuring in excess of 100 galleries, art studios, restaurants and shops. Art walks are scheduled between 6pm–9pm on first Fridays of every month.

The world’s largest stock show, which includes rodeo performances and some 15,000 animals, is held every January. The schedule of events includes horse shows, bull riders, livestock competitions, Mexican rodeos, auctions and stands to buy cowboy outfits and Native American accessories. A herd of Texas Longhorn cattle is driven through the center of town in a parade featuring marching bands, horseback riders, floats and performing cowboys.

The beautifully landscaped city park hosts a zoo, a museum of nature and science and a public golf course. The botanical gardens offer year round events that include children’s gardening and educational opportunities.
